Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is currently seeking a qualified and safety-minded, part-time CDL driver to join our team at Western Mountain Bus in Nampa, ID

The ideal candidate will have a current CDL with minimum required endorsements: school bus and passenger. Hours can very depending on needs.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

  • Picking up buses from factory, around the US and in-state deliveries.
  • Travel to the factory to pick up buses and deliver back to GTC facilities and/or customer locations.
  • Knowledge of all laws and regulations as they pertain to transporting commercial vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate customer concerns and needs in an honest and professional manner to service advisors.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have flexibility with schedules as some extended work hours may be required depending on the business need.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Must have valid CDL driver’s license. Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain.  3 years commercial over the road experience or commercial bus driving experience. Ability to pass background and drug screening. 

Qualifications: Must be dependable and reliable. Must be professional and safety minded at all times. Excellent communication both verbal and written, listening skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Able to work with minimal supervision and direction. Must adhere to all DOT regulations.

 

Job Conditions

Physical Demands: Continuous sitting for periods up to 10 hours, in the seat of a bus during various weather and driving conditions. Occasional walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling and climbing as necessary.    

Environmental Demands: This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, including inclement weather. Noise level is mild to moderate, which are normal for outdoor work.

Hours: Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, night and weekends. Position may also be subject to overtime if business needs require it.
